Hope’s bio

Hope is looking for her hero!  She is a happy, happy, sweet girl!  She was dealt a bad hand in the beginning of her life…tied out with a tight chain padlocked around her neck.   The dark ring around her neck where the chain was has faded, and apparently so have the memories of that sad time in her life.  Hope loves everyone!...dogs, people and children!

Hope is about 70 lbs and is believed to be a Wiemeraner/terrier mix.

Hope is always so happy to see me, and has learned to enjoy playing with her toys.  The only way this dog would hurt you is with her very enthusiastically wagging tail when she gets some loving attention.  She rarely jumps up on me, but if she does, it’s not an attempt to knock me down.  Due to her size and happy enthusiasm though, only older children (teenagers) should be in her forever home.

Hope has come a long way with training, and loves the interaction.   Hope knows sit, shake, down, turn around, and is house trained with regular potty breaks. 

Hope walks well on a leash with a Freedom Harness.  She loves other dogs, but is rambunctious in her play with other dogs, so would need a dog appropriate for some enthusiastic play.    With plenty of positive attention and teaching, this foster mom feels that Hope will make a wonderful, loyal pet for a dog savvy, active family.

It has been fun to watch Hope’s transformation as I have spent more time with her and she’s had some positive training.  She’s a diamond in the rough!

Hope is spayed, heartworm negative, up to date on shots and microchipped.

This girl is a love!!  She just needs someone to love her and invest some time in her!
